This is vital for sustaining your drainage journey as it will also educate and give you more confidence. My current clients absolutely rave about how empowered they feel with self drainage and the difference it has made to the speeding up of their recovery.

HEALING WITH MEDITATION
Meditation and cleansing practices can be used in moments of recovery and calming our body and mind. Done with a self-loving and caring attitude, guided meditation for healing and recovery can be a very powerful tool to use whenever feeling low on energy, ill or in need of supporting our health and well-being.
Some of the well-known benefits of meditation on our health and recovery include:
You have just been through an event which has temporarily disrupted your bodily tissue and structure, you are bound to feel all sorts of emotions. Listen to some meditations, get an early night and rest as much as you can before our session.
Make sure to bring or download any instructions from your doctor or surgical team.
Anything that they have told you to do or not to do will be helpful in planning your aftercare.
Do NOT put anything on your skin.
No oils, no moisturisers, no serums.
Your skin has it's own natural moisturising capabilities and it needs to be dry for MLD initially to be most effective during sessions 1 through to 6
You may not feel like eating first thing in the morning but please have something very light to avoid you feeling nauseous, even if it is a banana and a cup of tea.
This is the point I cannot stress enough! Please make sure to hydrate yourself extremely well by drinking 1 litre of water BEFORE the session. However I will be giving you more water on arrival, during and after your session. In total you may be asked to consume 2.5 Litres daily to ensure maximum toxin flushing and accelerated healing. Do NOT consume more than 2.5 litres a day initially for week 1 and never drink an uncomfortable amount of water.
This is another crucial element of MLD, the more we drink and flush the more we move the toxins through.
